The World Sheep and Fiber Arts Festival Classes

This year I will be teaching one class at the festival for those interested in learning to spin. Although I have a limited number of spinning wheels for rent, it is best if you have and bring your own so that you are not only learning how to spin, but you are learning how to spin on your own spinning wheel. Here is the class info:

Beginning Spinning with a Wheel
Instructor: Nancy Barnett
Location: Angora tent

Learn to spin the old fashioned way by starting out by carding a washed fleece and proceed to spin it. You will learn how to card a fleece, spin it, ply it, and set the twist. Students will go home with processed roving to practice on. Bring wheel, kniddy knotty, ball winders, cards (I have some to use) or large dog brushes will do. This is a wheel class only, Spindle class will be from 1-4 Sunday afternoon. Bring or borrow a wheel as I have a limited number for rental.

Class Fee – $30
Materials Fee – $10
Wheel rental $5
Min 1 – Max 10
