Picture – 3/30/2006 – 1/16/2014

Picture, our oldest Blue Face Leicester, left us Thursday.  She was completely normal in the morning, eating and wanting attention and when I called her and her 3 companions in for the evening I found her dead.  She leaves behind a beautiful BFL/Border Leicester ewe named Leggs.

Picture was bred in Wisconsin by the Richerts and I picked her up at the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival in 2008.  She has given us two part BL daughters and a purebred daughter that we lost.

She was such a loving ewe and will be greatly missed.Good and Faithful Servant - Mollie and PicturePicture and her LGD friend, Mollie.  Mollie stayed by her in death until she was able to be moved.  They frequently laid down together and snuggled.

Hi Nancy! I am sorry to hear about Picture! I am so glad she had such a loving home with you. I was writing to tell you that I finished the shawl with Picture and Ebony’s yarn. I will try to find your email and send you a picture of it. It is very dear to me. I was going to ask to buy more of her yarn as it is my all time favorite! It is even more special to me now.
Again, I am sorry you lost her.
